Dear St. Ignatius Families,

There is something wonderful about the start of a school year. Our children walk through the doors a little taller, a little older, carrying new hopes, new questions and so much possibility with them. Together, we get to help shape what comes next.

​

As I begin my first year as Principal of St. Ignatius School, I feel such joy and excitement for the year ahead. I know how special this community is, and I’m incredibly proud to have the opportunity to lead it into its next chapter.

​

For me, that begins with people. I want St. Ignatius to be a place where every child knows they belong, where our staff feel supported, valued and excited about the work they do, and where our families feel welcomed, connected and heard. Strong schools are built on strong relationships, and I look forward to continuing to build those relationships with all of you. Please know that my door is always open.

​

I’m also excited about where we’re going. Our children are growing up in a world that is changing quickly, and my background in technology gives me a unique perspective as we consider what they will need from us. We will continue to strengthen our learning environments, resources and technology so our students have every opportunity to be curious, creative, capable and ready for what comes next.

But preparing our children for the future is about much more than technology. It is about who they become: young people of faith and character, compassionate friends and neighbours, thinkers, problem solvers and leaders who recognize their gifts and understand that they can use them to make a difference in this world.  The future belongs to them. What an extraordinary privilege we have to help prepare them for it.

I am so happy to begin this year with you and so excited for everything ahead for our students, our staff and our St. Ignatius community.  Here’s to a wonderful 2026–27.
