TUITION COSTS
Careful Stewardship. Accessibility. Growth.
St. Ignatius School is funded through a combination of government support and family tuition. Independent schools in Manitoba receive approximately 50% of public school operating funding, which equated to $6,720 per student in the 2023–2024 school year. The remaining costs are covered through tuition, carefully set and stewarded by the School Board and Principal. For the 2025–2026 school year, a 7% tuition increase was approved to support program excellence and rising operational costs. The school also pursues additional revenue through partnerships and facility use to help keep tuition as accessible as possible.
Independent Catholic schools do not receive government funding for capital expenses. To support facility improvements and long-term planning, an annual capital fee of $150 per student (maximum $200 per family) is applied. This approach reflects our commitment to accessibility, stewardship, and long-term sustainability.
