Nursery Program

St. Ignatius School offers an afternoon Nursery Program for four-year-olds. This program runs from 1:00 p.m. - 3:20 p.m., Monday to Friday. Students who will be four years old by December 31 may apply to attend between two and five afternoons a week. See Registration for more information.

Qualified staff, with a maximum 1:10/teacher: student ratio, encourage the development of the whole child with activities and experiences aimed at providing a strong foundation for the early developmental years. This program consists of the following daily activities:

  • Cooperative games
  • Teacher-directed activities
  • Daily outdoor play or gym time
  • Snack (provided from home daily)
  • Student's choice of play in activity centers
  • Group story time

At 1:00 p.m., students in the Nursery Program arrive to join the students of the After-Kindergarten Program, creating a combined class with up to a maximum of 20 students on any given day. The Nursery Program is available for a fee of $15.00 per student, per day.

Applications for this program will be processed after priority has been given to kindergarten students who require after-kindergarten care. Nursery applications from parishioners of St. Ignatius Parish will be given first preference for available spots, with all others being considered for remaining spaces. Casual use of this program is not available.
