Kindergarten
"The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go."
Dr. Seuss
Mrs. Kirby is excited to have the privilege of teaching the kindergarten class at St. Ignatius, and to be part of such a dedicated and caring staff. Our year is filled with learning, fun, smiles and caring for one another. Together we have many opportunities to grow and learn both academically and spiritually. As Dr. Seuss says, "Young cat, if you keep your eyes open enough, oh, the stuff you would learn! The most wonderful stuff!"
Mrs. Kirby is teaching the grade 3 class for the 2011-2012 school year but she will be back having fun in kindergarten next year!
Ms. Marnie Krawec-Verma is the Kindergarten Teacher at St. Ignatius for the 2011-2012 school year. She believes she has the best job in the world!
The students and I are busy getting to know one another. What they will learn about myself is how much I love to read and spend time with my family. I have been teaching for 18 years and I know this will be the best year yet!
May the magic of the season follow you throughout 2012!
The Kindergarten students took part in a gingerbread unit based on the book The Gingerbread Man is Loose in the School by Laura Murray. The Kindergarten students discovered the GIANT gingerbread man they baked had gone missing and soon went on a hunt throughout the school for the cookie. The clues left by the gingerbread man led us all through the school, allowing many the chance to play in the game. Did we find him you ask?? Follow the crumbs, as we did!!!
